I research bushfire risk, fire management and climate change in the FLARE Wildfire Research group at the University of Melbourne. I am an ARC Mid-Career Industry Fellow, working with Victoria’s lead fire agencies to support climate-adapted bushfire risk mitigation. I was previously based at the University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University and the NSW Environment Department. I am committed to bringing science and society closer together. I write at the Future Fire substack and love reading, listening to music and playing basketball. I can usually be found chilling with my wife and three daughters at our home in Brunswick East.
