I’ve just completed a rather rapid review of evidence for the effectiveness of strategic fuel breaks, for the end users of my ARC Industry Fellowship on decision support for climate-adapted bushfire risk mitigation.
Spoiler alert Alex your papers are all over the list! I only counted 6 empirical studies targeting effectiveness at a ‘regime’-scale i.e. multiple fires over multiple years, using quantitative methods. 5 of the 6 were in the southwestern US. The Victorian govt might be interested in doing some work here on the topic.
